Installation of Galaxy Neo systems at AZ Alma for respiratory diagnostics

This week, we installed three Galaxy Neo systems at AZ Alma in Eeklo. The systems will be used for a new automated workflow focused on respiratory diagnostics, just in time for the start of the flu season.

During the installation, four analysts received practical training in the use of the Galaxy Neo: from preparing iCassettes to performing and interpreting runs. Afterwards, they received their certificates.

The Galaxy Neo supports laboratories in the rapid and accurate detection of respiratory pathogens, including influenza and coronaviruses, with a fully automated process from sample to result.

This implementation enables AZ Alma to differentiate more quickly between the most common respiratory pathogens, contributing to more efficient patient care and targeted infection prevention.
