Talk to a specialist
Tell us about your assays, platforms or targets and we’ll point you to the right product or proposal.
The questions lab teams ask us most, how quoting and ordering works, what CE-IVDR actually means for your assays, typical lead times, sample types and documentation. Plain answers, no pricing pages to dig through.
Diagnostics pricing depends on your account, the configuration, pack sizes, volumes and any framework agreement in place, so a single public price would be misleading. Instead, Goffin works quote-first.
Browse the catalog, add the kits, panels or instruments you’re interested in to your quote with Add to quote, then open your quote request and send it. A specialist reviews it and returns a clear, itemised proposal with the right documentation, typically within 24 hours on a working day.
The more context you give, the faster and more accurate the proposal. Helpful details include:
If you only have a rough idea, send what you have, our team will come back with the right questions rather than make you fill in a long form.
In many cases, yes. For several assays we can arrange an evaluation or smaller verification quantity so you can confirm the kit fits your workflow and platform before a routine order. Availability depends on the product and the manufacturer.
Note it in your quote request or mention it to your contact, we’ll tell you what’s possible and supply the matching documentation for your internal verification.
Once you’re happy with the proposal, confirm it by replying to your specialist or sending a purchase order to order@goffinmt.com. We confirm availability and a delivery window, and the order is scheduled.
For recurring needs we can set up framework or standing arrangements so repeat orders don’t need a fresh quote each time. A full walkthrough lives on the How ordering works page.
CE-IVDR refers to the EU In Vitro Diagnostic Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2017/746), which replaced the older IVD Directive. A CE-IVDR marking means the manufacturer has demonstrated the assay meets the regulation’s safety and performance requirements for in-vitro diagnostic use, with the supporting technical documentation and, where required, notified-body involvement.
For your lab, it means the product is intended and validated for diagnostic use within the current EU framework, not labelled “research use only”. Each CE-IVDR product comes with its Instructions for Use (IFU) and declaration of conformity, which we supply with the quote or on request.
Goffin spans four connected domains so one partner can support the whole workflow:
That’s more than 270 referenced products from a carefully chosen group of manufacturers. Browse it all in the catalog, see who we represent on the Brands page, or use search to find a specific target.
It depends on the assay, the validated sample types are always listed on the product page and in the IFU. As an example, the Hantavirus PCR Kit is validated for human serum, plasma and urine. Respiratory panels typically run from upper-respiratory swab material, and so on.
Most of our molecular kits sit downstream of a nucleic-acid extraction step and run on common open Real-Time PCR instruments. If you need to confirm compatibility with a specific specimen or platform before ordering, ask support@goffinmt.com and we’ll check the validated claims for you.
A single-target kit detects one pathogen or marker, for example the Hantavirus or Candida auris PCR kits, and is ideal when you have a specific clinical question.
A syndromic panel detects several targets in one run: the 13 Respiratory Pathogens Panel covers SARS-CoV-2, Influenza A/B and RSV alongside ten further targets, and the Bacterial & Fungal Meningitis Panel covers five. Panels give a faster, more complete answer when the differential is broad. Each assay, single or panel, carries an internal control so every run reports its own validity.
Most of our Real-Time PCR kits are designed for common open instruments rather than a single closed platform, so they generally slot into the setup you already run. Compatibility, detection channels and the cycling profile are stated in each IFU.
If you run automated extraction in front of PCR, instruments such as the SwiftXtractor SL (up to 16 samples per run) integrate cleanly ahead of these assays. When you’re unsure, tell us your platform in the quote request and we’ll confirm fit before you commit.
Lead times depend on the product and current stock. Frequently ordered kits and consumables generally ship quickly to the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg; instruments and made-to-order items have longer, manufacturer-dependent windows.
Every quote and order confirmation states the expected delivery window for the specific items, so you can plan around it. If you have a hard deadline or a tender date, flag it and we’ll confirm what’s achievable upfront.
Reagents and kits with storage requirements are shipped under appropriate temperature-controlled conditions, with packaging matched to the product’s stability claims. The required storage temperature is stated on the product and in the IFU, and on the packaging on arrival.
If anything looks wrong on receipt, packaging, temperature indicators or quantities, contact us before use so we can resolve it. See Complaints & returns for the formal route.
For CE-IVDR products you can expect the Instructions for Use (IFU), the declaration of conformity, and a safety data sheet (SDS) where applicable. Lot-specific information such as certificates of analysis can be provided on request.
Datasheets and IFUs are linked from each product page for evaluation before you buy. Need a document we haven’t published yet? Email support@goffinmt.com and we’ll send it over.
