The SwiftX™ DNA Water Kit provides fast, reliable DNA water extraction from environmental and wastewater samples. Using magnetic cell capture and heat-lysis chemistry, the kit efficiently concentrates and lyses bacteria, fungi, and parasitic protozoa from sample volumes up to 20 mL. The resulting DNA is suitable for qPCR, digital PCR, isothermal amplification, microarray analysis, and next-generation sequencing, including long-read platforms like Oxford Nanopore. Designed for field use and low-resource environments, the workflow eliminates centrifugation and delivers results in ~25 minutes.
The kit includes Buffer DWC for cell stabilization and capture, Buffer TLS for high-efficiency lysis, paramagnetic Beads A, and Tubes G 0.1 for bead-assisted mechanical disruption. Reagents are stored at 2–25 °C and remain stable for three months after first opening
