What is in the Dengue NS1 Rapid Test?

Each kit contains:

• 20 EZER™ Dengue NS1 test cassettes

• 20 sterile plastic droppers

• 1 sample buffer bottle

• 1 package insert with instructions

The test detects Dengue NS1 antigen through immunochromatographic analysis. If NS1 is present in the sample, a red line appears in the NS1 test region (T) along with the control (C) line.

Role of Dengue NS1 in Disease

Dengue NS1 is a non-structural protein secreted into the bloodstream during early Dengue virus infection. Unlike antibodies that take days to appear, NS1 antigen is detectable as early as Day 1 of fever.

About the EZER™ Dengue NS1 Rapid Test

This test is developed by Genesis Biotech and incorporates monoclonal antibodies specific for Dengue NS1, conjugated to colloidal gold particles. The test targets antigens from all four Dengue virus serotypes (DEN-1 to DEN-4).

Principle and Workflow

Sample Types:

• Whole blood (EDTA, citrate, or heparin)

• Serum or plasma

Test Procedure:

1. Let device and sample reach room temperature

2. Add 30 µL of specimen to the cassette sample well

3. Add 2 drops of buffer

4. Wait 10 minutes before reading

Result Interpretation:

• Positive: Two red lines (C and NS1)

• Negative: One red line (C only)

• Invalid: No control line, retest required
