The BIOSYNEX AMPLIQUICK® Malaria PCR Kit is a molecular diagnostic test for the detection of malaria. It identifies five Plasmodium species – Plasmodium falciparum, Plasmodium vivax, Plasmodium malariae, Plasmodium ovale and Plasmodium knowlesi (PAN). It also specifically detects Plasmodium falciparum (FALCI), the most dangerous species. The test uses real-time polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) technology to analyse DNA extracted from whole blood samples. It is intended for in vitro use in professional laboratories.

Malaria is a life-threatening disease caused by Plasmodium parasites transmitted by the bite of infected female Anopheles mosquitoes.
