Application
Diluting the two-fold plasma with this buffer gives a matrix at the concentration the laboratory chooses, for spike-in experiments with cfDNA or ctDNA and for use as a no template control. Because the buffer contains no human DNA, diluting does not introduce background signal.
Handling and storage
The buffer is supplied ready to use, with a nominal volume of 3.0 ml. Store it between 2 and 8 °C, in which case it is stable until the expiry date. Spin the vial down briefly before starting and work in a clean environment, since a DNA-free reagent loses that property on the first contamination.
