Reliable RT-PCR technology
The kit uses real-time RT-PCR technology in two steps. First, viral RNA and an internal human RNA control are converted to complementary DNA (cDNA). Next, specific primers and fluorophore-labelled probes amplify target genes, including two genes from SARS-CoV-2 (E and RdRp), Influenza A (M), Influenza B (HA) and RSV (M). Internal controls ensure the reliability of the sample collection, RNA extraction and amplification processes, preventing false negatives.
