SwiftX™ DNA Extraction Kit

The SwiftX™ DNA Extraction Kit is developed for fast, reliable DNA extraction from a broad range of human sample types. Designed for professional laboratory use, the kit isolates high-quality DNA from fungi, bacteria, parasites, viruses, and human cells using a rapid heat-lysis workflow combined with magnetic particle technology. Its flexible protocol options support both direct extraction and cell-capture workflows, making it a versatile solution for molecular diagnostics and research environments that require consistent, amplification-ready DNA.

The kit includes Buffer EN, Buffer DL, and paramagnetic Beads A—each optimized to stabilize cells, enhance lysis efficiency, and remove debris during purification. Reagents are stored at 2–8 °C and remain stable for three months after first use, ensuring dependable performance throughout their shelf life.

The SwiftX™ DNA Extraction Kit supports DNA extraction from:

  • Human and animal cells
  • Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria
  • Parasitic protozoa and helminths
  • Fungi
  • Viruses

Compatible sample types include:

  • Solid samples: swabs, dried blood spots, FTA cards, tissue samples, hair follicles, pre-concentrated cells
  • Liquid samples (up to 1 mL): urine, saliva, sputum, whole blood, CSF, cell cultures, aspirates, cytology media, transport-medium swabs

Simple and Streamlined Protocol

Protocol 1 | Direct extraction workflow incl. reverse purification:

  • mix sample with Buffer DL and Beads A
  • incubate for 5 to 15 minutes at 95°C
  • remove tubes from heat block and place in a magnetic rack
  • use supernatant for downstream application

Protocols 2 and 3 | Workflow for cell capture, extraction and reverse purification

  • mix sample with Buffer EN and Beads A
  • incubate for 3 minutes at ambient temperature
  • place tubes in a magnetic rack
  • discard supernatant
  • Protocol 3 only: wash Beads A once with Buffer EN
  • resuspend Beads A in Buffer DL
  • incubate for 5 to 15 minutes at 95°C
  • remove tubes from heat block and place in a magnetic rack
  • use supernatant for downstream application
