The Galatek Auflo-P1200 automates pipetting steps that are otherwise done by hand, with four channels that can each work at their own volume and spacing.
Pipetting
Four independent channels with a range of 2 to 1000 µl. The manufacturer states a precision of 5.0 per cent CV at 2 µl with a 10 µl tip, 3.0 per cent at 10 µl with a 10 µl tip and 2.0 per cent at 50 µl with a 200 µl tip. Because both the volume and the channel spacing are adjustable per channel, transfers between different labware formats do not need a fixed pitch.
Deck and labware
The deck offers 25 positions in a 30-grid layout and takes SBS format microplates in 96, 384, deep-well, ELISA and cell culture versions, PCR plates, blood collection tubes, centrifuge tubes, sample tubes, 8-strip tubes, loading slots and tip boxes.

Protocols are built by drag and drop, with import of CSV files and work lists and configurable liquid classes.
