SARS-CoV-2 /Flu/RSV/ADV – EZER™ Antigen Test

About SARS-CoV-2 /Flu/RSV/ADV – EZER™ Antigen Test

The EZER™ SARS-CoV-2 /Flu/RSV/ADV Antigen Combo Rapid Test is a chromatographic lateral flow immunoassay for the qualitative detection of SARS-CoV-2, Influenza A, Influenza B, RSV, and Adenovirus antigens from nasal or nasopharyngeal swab specimens. Optimized for early-stage infection, the test detects viral antigens within the first 7 days after symptom onset, when respiratory viral shedding is highest and rapid differentiation is clinically critical.

By enabling simultaneous multi-pathogen detection in a single workflow, the test simplifies differential diagnosis in patients presenting with influenza-like illness. Results are available within 15 minutes, allowing healthcare professionals to initiate appropriate infection control measures, treatment pathways, or confirmatory testing without delay.

Clinical evaluation against PCR reference methods demonstrated high sensitivity, specificity, and overall percent agreement across all five targets. The combination of speed, accuracy, and broad respiratory coverage makes this assay a reliable frontline diagnostic solution for seasonal outbreaks, emergency care, and routine respiratory screening

Specifications of the SARS-CoV-2 /Flu/RSV/ADV – EZER™ Antigen Test

What is in the SARS-CoV-2 /Flu/RSV/ADV Antigen Combo Rapid Test?

Each kit contains:

  • 20 EZER™ SARS-CoV-2 / Flu / RSV / ADV test devices

  • 20 sterile nasal/nasopharyngeal swabs

  • 20 extraction tubes with buffer

  • 1 tube stand

  • 1 package insert with instructions

The test detects viral antigens through immunochromatographic analysis. If one or more target antigens are present in the specimen, a red line appears in the corresponding test region alongside the control (C) line, confirming a valid result.

Role of Antigen Detection in Respiratory Infections

SARS-CoV-2, Influenza viruses, RSV, and Adenovirus are major causes of acute respiratory illness with overlapping clinical symptoms. Viral antigens are typically detectable in upper respiratory samples during the early phase of infection, before viral load declines. Antigen-based detection:

  • Enables rapid differentiation of respiratory pathogens

  • Supports early isolation and infection control decisions

  • Improves patient triage during peak respiratory seasons

  • Provides actionable results when molecular testing is not immediately available

Because antigen positivity reflects active viral presence, this test is most effective during the first days after symptom onset, when clinical intervention has the greatest impact.

About the EZER™ SARS-CoV-2 /Flu/RSV/ADV Antigen Combo Rapid Test

Developed by Genesis Biotech, this assay incorporates virus-specific monoclonal antibodies conjugated to colloidal gold particles. The test is designed to detect:

  • SARS-CoV-2 nucleocapsid antigen

  • Influenza A and Influenza B antigens

  • RSV antigen

  • Adenovirus antigen

Performance summary (PCR comparison):

  • High positive and negative percent agreement across all targets

  • No observed cross-reactivity between SARS-CoV-2, Flu A/B, RSV, and ADV

  • No significant interference from common respiratory microorganisms

Principle and Workflow

Sample types:

  • Nasal swab

  • Nasopharyngeal swab

Test procedure:

  1. Extract the collected swab sample in extraction buffer

  2. Add extracted sample drops to each test well

  3. Read results after 15 minutes

Result interpretation:

  • Positive: Control line (C) + virus-specific test line

  • Negative: Control line (C) only

  • Invalid: No control line — retest required

The cassette-based format and rapid read time support efficient testing in both clinical and point-of-care environments.

Clinical Application

The EZER™ SARS-CoV-2 /Flu/RSV/ADV Antigen Combo Rapid Test is intended for:

  • Differential diagnosis of acute respiratory infections

  • Emergency department and outpatient screening

  • Seasonal respiratory virus surveillance

  • Hospital and community testing programs

By combining speed, accuracy, and multi-target detection in one assay, this test helps healthcare providers optimize patient management, reduce diagnostic uncertainty, and improve infection control outcomes.
